Participants will get a crash-course in the fundamentals of Tableau Prep. We will work with a couple of messy real-world data sets. We will clean, shape, and merge our data in Tableau Prep with the aim of analyzing it in Tableau Desktop and finally publishing an interactive chart with Tableau Public. Software, data files and laptops are provided for the duration of the class. The session is designed to follow the sessions “An introduction to Data Visualization with Tableau” and “Finding your data story: Visual analytics best practices using Tableau” but can also be taken on its own by participants who have some experience in working with data.
